Everyone knows Independence for the Rockside Road office corridor and the I-77/I-480 interchange. Behind that there's a genuinely quiet town — ranches, Cape Cods and split-levels that went up between the 1950s and the 1980s as postwar Cleveland moved south along the valley. The interchange isn't just trivia for us, though. Cars that spend all winter on two salted interstates carry more brine into a garage than cars that stay on side streets, and the floor is where that shows up first.
If your car lives on I-77 five days a week from December to March, your slab takes a harder winter than most:
We also coat small commercial and shop floors around the Rockside corridor. Same system, same one-day turnaround, quoted by square footage.
Every floor we install in Independence is built the same proven way — and finished in a single visit:
The finished floor is roughly 50 mil thick — slip-resistant, chemical-resistant, and easy to keep clean with a mop. It's backed by our 3-year workmanship warranty and built to last 15–20+ years.
Our rate is $6 per square foot for the full one-day flake system:
Salt-scaled concrete at the door edge sometimes needs rebuilding before coating. We show you that on the visit and price it into the fixed number rather than raising it later.
We install across Independence and the surrounding streets, including Rockside Road · Brecksville Road · Hillside Road · Chestnut Road · Old Rockside and beyond. If you're nearby and don't see your area, just ask.
That's salt scaling, and the pattern is normal. Meltwater and brine run off the car as you pull in, so the first stretch of slab stays wet far longer than the rest. Chloride keeps pulling moisture out of the air, the surface stays damp through freeze-thaw, and the top few millimetres of concrete come apart. It's a surface problem, not a structural one — we grind past it, rebuild where needed, and seal it so it can't start again.
Yes. Small commercial floors around the Rockside corridor use the same polyaspartic system, and it's quoted the same way — by square footage, fixed after a visit. Bigger spaces sometimes need staging over two evenings so you don't lose a working day, and we'll say so upfront if that's the case.
The flake broadcast gives the surface texture, so it's noticeably less slick than sealed bare concrete when wet. If the garage is used by someone unsteady on their feet, tell us and we'll add more grit to the top coat — it's a small change at install and impossible to add later.
